报告题目：Multi-agent Collective Behaviors in Complex Networks and Systems

  Abstract

In this talk, the multi-agent collective behaviors (specifically, synchronization, consensus, swarming, and flocking) and some of their potential applications are discussed. The consensus problem in multi-agent systems with first-order, second-order, and higher-order dynamics is investigated in details. Then, the distributed leader-follower flocking control for multi-agent dynamical systems with time-varying velocities is proposed. Furthermore, adaptive and pinning network controls in complex dynamical systems are designed. Finally, applications in estimating uncertain delayed genetic regulatory networks and distributed consensus filtering in sensor networks are discussed. 

About the speaker

Dr. Wenwu Yu received the B.Sc. degree in information and computing science and M.Sc. degree in applied mathematics both from the Department of Mathematics,Southeast University, Nanjing, China, in 2004 and 2007, respectively. He received the Ph.D. degree at the Department of Electronic Engineering, City University of Hong Kong, Hong Kong in 2010. Currently, he is an Associate Professor in the Department of Mathematics, Southeast University, Nanjing, China.

Dr. Yu held several visiting positions in Australia, China, Germany, Italy, theNetherlands, and USA. He is the author or coauthor of about 40 referred international journal papers, and a reviewer of many journals. His research interests include multi-agent systems, nonlinear dynamics and control, complex networks and systems, neural networks, cryptography, signal processing, and communications. Mr. Yu is the recipient of the Best Master Degree Theses Award from Jiangsu Province, China in 2008, DAAD Scholarship from Germany in 2008, TOP 100 Most Cited Chinese Papers Published in International Journals in 2008, the Best Student Paper Award in 5th Chinese Conference on Complex Networks in 2009, and The First Prize of Scientific and Technological Progress Award of Jiangsu Province in 2010.
