报告摘要:
As mobile networks continuously densifying, the huge energy consumption has brought a heavy burden to the operation of wireless networks. Therefore, green communications have drawn increasing research interests during recent years. Compared with system sum throughput or total power consumption, Energy Efficiency (EE) has been considered as one of the key performance metrics in the upcoming 5G era and beyond. In this talk, a geometric water-filling based approach is presented to maximize system energy efficiency through optimal power allocation. The proposed approach provides optimal solution and possesses lower complexity. Analogous comparison with the widely applied Dinkelbach method is provided to clearly identify the advantages of the proposed algorithm. Numerical results are presented to illustrate the procedures of the proposed algorithm and the gain in Energy Efficiency over Dinkelbach method.
